Students push the boundaries of research and innovation: Groundbreakers S2 Ep.4

From launching rovers into space to exploring whether green cannabinoids can treat epilepsy in children, students at the ߲ݴý are taking research and innovation in bold new directions.

In Ep. 4 of the Groundbreakers video series, host Ainka Jess goes behind the scenes with student researchers from the  and  strategic initiatives, as well as the .

“I think as humans we are very curious creatures and I see planetary robots as a way to extend our reach in the solar system, so I’m actually really excited about what these rovers can do in the future,” says Olivier Lamarre, a PhD candidate in planetary robotics at U of T’s .

The episode also features Kareem Abdur-Rashid and Kamaluddin Abdur-Rashid – both alumni of U of T and co-founders and – and Justine Bajohr, a PhD candidate , an assistant professor in the department of surgery in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine.
